Outside My Window

Brown skins

Cluster in thirst

Fawn over the shimmering

Glimmering

Liquid gem

Denied them

By evidences

Of fences.

Quail

Hesitate

Debate

Berate

Castigate

The alt-others.

Anyone, everyone, different

From them

Selves.

White

Rabs

Drabs

Scramble amok

To hide the hock

The purloined wealth

From creeping stealth

Envious eyes

Desperate cries

Starving lives

Battered wives.

Black

Wings,

Unconsoled,

Scold

Fold

Their grievances

Under bold

Plumage.

The Amalgamated Union

Of nestlings

Broad wings

Swift feet

Loud beat

Sharp tongues

Olds and youngs

Conflate, misstate, exaggerate, irritate, ego-bait,

Fate.

Outside my window

Pines rustle

Acorns hustle

Winds chuckle

Earthworms fuckle

Nature, unruffled, yawns

Waits for new dawns

Of sanity.
